The Shop

Tiger Garage has been on Witherspoon Street in Princeton since 2011. Rick started the shop because he watched too many neighbors get quoted prices that had nothing to do with what the repair actually cost. The idea was simple: give people a straight answer, charge a fair price, and do the work right. Word spread, and the shop has run on that reputation ever since.

It's a small operation by design. Two mechanics, three lifts, and no wasted time. When you bring your car in, you're talking to the people actually working on it.

Meet Rick and Troy

Rick, Owner

Rick built Tiger Garage from scratch, one honest estimate at a time. He's the kind of mechanic who will tell you when a repair can wait, because he'd rather you trust him for the next ten years than squeeze an extra job out of you today.

Troy has been working alongside his father for more than twelve years. Between the two of them, they've seen just about everything that can go wrong with a car and know how to find the actual cause rather than just replacing parts until something works. Customers regularly call Tiger Garage a father-and-son shop, and that's exactly what it is.

How We Work

Nothing happens to your car without you knowing about it first. We find the problem, call you with a clear explanation of what it is and what it costs, and wait for your go-ahead. You pay what we quoted, not more. If we look at your brakes and find surface rust from a car that sat over a rainy weekend, we'll tell you that and charge you for the inspection time, not for a brake job you don't need.

The shop is ASE certified. We work on American, European, and Asian vehicles, from high-mileage daily drivers to late-model cars with complex electronics. All repair work is backed by a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty.

Where to Find Us

We're at 343 Witherspoon Street, directly across from the municipal parking lot and an easy walk from Princeton University's main campus. Parking is simple, and a lot of people in the neighborhood have figured out we're close enough to drop the car off and get on with their day on foot.
