“Wonderful!!! My 10-yr-old Mazda abruptly started making a loud grinding noise on a long wintry drive last week. I have always gone to the Mazda dealership near where I used to live, but here, the closest one was a 25-min drive away and had no openings for more than 2 weeks. Tiger Garage is a 5-min walk for me, and a friend had highly recommended them a few months ago. I initially ruled them out, since they didn't mention Mazda on the long list of cars they can fix, plus I figured there couldn't possibly be any good options in this neighborhood. But after several frustrating phonecalls to other places, I decided it was worth a shot. I was able to describe the problem and request an appointment time online (a huge perk, I hate the phone), and got a confirmation email the next day. Took my car in this morning, and had a good feeling, I think it's a father-son business and they seemed very nice. They called about half an hour later with a diagnosis and estimate, and had the car all fixed up for exactly the quoted price a couple hours later!! Very reasonable too. It was brake failure, which I last dealt with 25 years ago, and I paid considerably less today than I did to my dealership decades ago for the same repair! Thank you :)”

“Competent workmanship at a reasonable price. I recently had a transmission failure on my vehicle and wanted to swap in a replacement unit from a junkyard rather than pay a dealer to rebuild mine. The manager was willing to accept a customer purchased part and installed it. I was back on the road within a week and the car's driving fine.”

“Rick is the guy could be trusted. My first car engine failed and was estimated to cost $3200 to fix here, while it was estimated to cost me $5000 to replace the engine in PepBoys.”

Make Overview
Audi Service Done to Spec
Audi builds precise vehicles, and that precision means the details matter. The wrong oil grade, the wrong coolant type, or a generic part that doesn't meet VW Group tolerances can quietly cause problems that won't show up for months. At Tiger Garage on Witherspoon Street in Princeton, we follow Audi specifications on every job, from a routine oil service on an A4 to brake and suspension work on a Q7. We've been working on European vehicles long enough to know where these cars are strong and where they need attention.
We handle Audi A4, Q5, A6, and Q7 models regularly. That covers oil changes, brake service, transmission fluid service, cooling system repairs, electrical diagnosis, and timing system maintenance. When you bring your Audi in, you get a diagnosis before any work starts, a price before we touch anything, and no line items on the invoice you didn't agree to. That's been the approach at Tiger Garage since 1982, and it's not changing.
Common Audi Issues We Fix
Audi's timing system is one area worth paying attention to as mileage climbs. The timing belt or chain service interval varies by engine, and skipping it or going past it is an expensive mistake. We know the intervals for the engines we see most often and will flag it if yours is coming due.
Oil consumption and oil leaks are another common theme on higher-mileage Audi four-cylinder and V6 engines. Valve cover gaskets, cam chain tensioner gaskets, and rear main seals are the usual suspects. These are manageable repairs when caught early and a bigger job when they're not. We also see cooling system failures on older Audis, particularly plastic coolant flanges and water pump housings that crack over time. If your temperature gauge is creeping up or you're losing coolant with no visible puddle, bring it in.
Electrical diagnosis is something we take seriously. Audi's electrical systems are more involved than most, and pulling a fault code tells you where to look, not what to replace. We trace the problem before we recommend parts.
